Description
This was for a Redesign challenge over at Penciljack. I hated Robin's costume (colorful tights - ugh!), so decided to give it a shot. I went for the "urban ninja" look.
Some changes:
- Got rid of the green and most of the yellow.
- I gave him some real armor. The red breast-plate is supposed to be like the bird. Kinda.
- A bigger utility belt. Why not?
- Made the staff into nunchucks, just because I like nunchucks.
- Put metal studs on his kneepads and knuckles. If I was a little kid fighting full grown men, I'd fight dirty.
- The classic "R" is huge, and the yellow clips holding the plates together are from the original costume.
He could probably hide stuff in those big gloves, but I'm not sure what.

I dig your thought process when designing this character. The Nun chucks are a dope touch. Your reasoning for the breast plate makes perfect sense and works well with the design. I personally like the green. If you added green highlights it would have popped for me more, but I respect you design choices and its a very creative take.
