It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Heroes Con

Looks like I'll be going to Heroes Con in NC next weekend (if everything goes right). I'll miss Friday and the first half of Saturday, but I'll be there for the rest of it. I'll probably be in Artists Alley somewheres - l'll be sharing some table space with Riq ("Tariq Hassan" in the directory).
Hopefully I'll have time to print up some more mini-comics, too. I'll typically give you one if I know you somehow (email, comments, message boards, guestbook, etc). E'rebody else has to come out the pocket.

I missed the the first one and a half days, but I made it. I was coming off of an unrelated trip so I didn't have much to show, but the crowd was good. The guest list was great - just in the block of tables that I was at, there was Keron Grant, Travis Charest, Dexter Vines, Georges Jeanty, and I was seated next to Mark Brooks. I bought some art from John Paul Leon, too.
