I've heard recent talks of one with Sam Jackson as Shonuff. Not sure how I feel about that.

It could work if they did it right, but he will never capture the energy that Julius Carry brought to the character. That really sucks too cause it would have been cool if they made a sequel. Bruce Leroy still looks pretty good, and from what I've heard he still does martial arts so he hasn't gotten fat and flabby or anything. It's definitely doable, they just have to do it right. And until pretty recently it was the highest grossing martial arts film in the world, so it's not like they don't have any past success to play off of.
